Here are a few shots from my trip to Juneau this week. A quaint little capital city that seems to run on fish, beer, liquor, cruise ships, and on keeping on running. The AJ mine where gold was extracted for nigh on 50 years shut down just after World War II so I imagine people were rather nestled in at that point. Still it keeps some kind of busy. Still I love the fact that there is still diagonal parking in such places. Here's to Juneau, may your glacier (shown herein) no recede so much that we see your liver spots!
And, as a sort of endnote, the cumulative noise of the lights at night upon descent into the Emerald city.
