Rocky at TechCrunch has been posting a lot about Groupon and other daily deal providers recently. If you've ever bought one of these or thought "What an amazing deal!!"... think again. Especially if you actually want to support that business. See below:

That being said, it is pretty cool to have a store, restaurant, or bar incentivize your first, second, or thousandth trip in the door. Unless that business decision causes the store to go bankrupt and close.
I think next time I'll just walk in instead of checking if there's a daily deal to get me in the door.
